05.13.06 oh, man. i have updated this page, which is amazing because i don't do that much. it's only because i have other things to do that i am doing this now. and also, a big button order is printing and that takes a while. so...what's up? iron cobra is going on a big tour all over - new york, athens, atlanta, nashville, edmonton, providence, chicgo, minneapolis... go here to see if i have managed to update that site, too. maybe graham has, but that's unlikely. it would be a first, anyway. what else? i am also doing a smattering of arts and/or craft shows with the sweetie pie press. this is a toe-dipping for the fall of travelling and art selling that the reverend and i are delicately scheming (so as not to get out hopes of escape up too far). but as escape goes, i am managing to get out of this big city for about two wole months. alright, toronto, while i am away here are some things you should do to occupy yourself: a) stay in touch with the church of craft and go to their craft-ons. well, you guys have your work cut out for you. so long, suckers! |
03.01.06 i am back in toronto! it's cold here. and crappy. not like my great trip to atlanta and back and all points in between. i would like to extend special thanks to all the people, places and things that made my winter escape both possible and/or so enjoyable - tim goodwin, tara marks, door7, paul bettis, desira pesta, tim stoltenberg, matt stanton & stacey bode, dad's garage theatre, lucky yates, matt horgan, rene dellefont, linnea frye, kate warner, everyone else at dad's, dana & pink flamingos, yo-yo boutique, missy kulik, raoul de la cruz, devlin thompson, bizarro wuxtry, karen junior, pre to post modern, serendipity, pangaea, a collection of various strangers and, of course, my companion on this adventure, rev. aitor coria. now back to the present and future: a) iron cobra will be making announcements soon about many new shows all over the continent. from coast to coast! (except the east coast). join the iron cobra mailing list if you want to know about these things. b) levi macdougall and i will be taking over nick flannagan's joke club for its april 4th installment while nick is on tour. we are just starting work on the show and are very excited about it. for the sixteen of you who ever came to a comedy for the snobs show, get ready to see the snobs revived! but at the drake - the venue that originally turned us down. |
02.04.06 i am filled with activity. today, i am going to be at the cut n' paste zine fair at sneaky dee's in toronto. come see me and buy things if you like. the rhubarb! festival play that i am in, "cancun," opens on wednesday and runs through sunday at buddies in bad times theatre. then i am performing in catch23 improv's annual st. valentine's day show on the 13th. i will be at a d.i.y. show in rochester, new york, on the 18th. then i head down to atlanta where i will be performing and teaching some improv workshops hosted by the charming folks at dad's garage theatre co.. i should have more information on that soon. how did all this happen? i am coming dangerously close to tarnishing my cultivated reputation as a recluse. |
01.06.06 i guess i lied in my last news. i am performing a bit. i have been cast in a short play called 'cancun' by greg kearney at the rhubarb! festival. That will be in february. information will appear here. unfortunately, this new development puts the kibosh on another wonderful festival i was going to perform in - the brampton indie arts festival. nobody come to rhubarb, everyone should go to brampton. possibly, kathleen phillips will be replacing me. also, i have set up a new shop for myself/the sweetie pie press at the blue house, a great little toronto-based mercantile co-operative. |
12.26.05 i got sick of my old webpage and found it too big so i am making this one instead. i might lose interest. i'm not really performing much right now. but i am doing some sweetie pie press stuff. we might have a new comic book out soon. bob wiseman also just told me that he has posted a live taping of a screening of a video of a film of a puppet show we made together here. |
